Description

• OLR (ÖLR) is a circular sound-attenuating transfer air device, designed for installation in stud walls or ceilings.

• The unit is available in two versions for three different cut-out sizes:

OLR-100/125/160: Standard version of the product and mounting frame, supplied in a one-size-fits-all configuration. i.e. one product is used for three possible hole dimensions (Ø100/125/160). Adaptation is achieved through the cut-out diameter in the wall.

OLR-160 XL: Premium/XL version with a larger front and optimized sound-attenuation properties, supplied for Ø160 mm cut-out.

• For insulated stud walls, the accessory OFI-C (ÖFI-C) is recommended, an elastic wall penetration sleeve for transfer air units that prevents the spread of insulation fibres in air flows. Unlike conventional sheet metal wall penetrations installed for the same purpose, OFI-C does not impair the sound properties of the transfer air device.

Delivery form

• The product is delivered in pairs, including mounting frame RAM-OLR/ÖLR [c].

• The product is supplied in a standard version for cut-outs Ø100/125/160 and an additional XL/premium version for cut-out Ø160.

• The standard version is delivered in one size and is adapted by means of the cut-out diameter in the wall (Ø100/125/160 mm).

Accessories

OFI-C (ÖFI-C): Fibre blocker for transfer air units that prevents the spread of insulation fibres in air flows.

– Elastic wall penetration sleeve for transfer air units mounted in insulated stud walls that prevents spreading of fibres and particles into the air flow.

– Does not affect free area or sound performance, unlike sheet-metal wall penetration sleeves.

– Made from environmentally friendly, flexibe and flame-retardant material.

– Complies with current recommendations for OVK inspections.

– Can be combined with the following transfer units: OLR/ÖLR, ODA/ÖDA*), SOD[b]/SÖD[b]*), S2O/S2Ö*), E5O

– Available in rectangular version, OFI-R (ÖFI-R)

*) Rectangular product, installed in circular hole cutting.

Sizes OFI-C (ÖFI-C) (mm)
– Supplied in 2 sizes for 3 different circular duct dimensions (Ø100-125 / Ø160).
– Available for two different wall depths (70 mm alt. 95 mm).

Wall depth | Hole cutting (Ø) | Designation

70 mm | Ø100 / Ø125 | OFI-C70-100-125
95 mm | Ø100 / Ø125 | OFI-C95-100-125

70 mm | Ø160 | OFI-C70-160
95 mm | Ø160 | OFI-C95-160

• OLR/ÖLR [c]: The product is made of sheet steel, powder-coated in white RAL standard color, internally insulated with washable and surface-coated sound absorber. The product's insulation consists of 100% recycled, non-allergenic, hydrophobic PET plastic material. It is free from formaldehyde and, when burned, only carbon dioxide and water are produced.

• RAM-OLR/ÖLR [c]: Mounting frame, made of hot-dip galvanized sheet steel.

• OFI-C: Made from environmentally friendly, flame-retardant polyurethane foam. The material is CertiPUR and Oeko-Tex certified.

• The product is installed in pairs with the supplied mounting frames on either side of a wall over circular holecuttings.

• The mounting frame is supplied in one size and is used for installation for all three hole cutting dimensions, Ø100, Ø125, and Ø160 mm.

• For Ø160 mm cut-outs, the inner diameter of the included mounting frames can be used as a cutting template.

• The frame’s centerline is indicated by two “>”-shaped notches for easier alignment during cut-out and drilling.

• Each frame is marked with double arrow cut-outs. The frames must be installed with the arrows pointing upwards for correct wall mounting.

• The frame parts have pre-drilled holes for screw mounting. Each frame is secured with screws (not included).

• For a single plasterboard wall, a screw at least 20 mm long is recommended; for a double plasterboard wall, at least 30 mm.

• Each front panel is then hooked onto the mounting frame brackets for final installation.

• When fibre protection sleeve OFI-C / ÖFI-C is used, the protection sleeve should ideally be inserted into the cut-out before installing the transfer unit and mounting frame.

• The fibre protection cover can, however, be installed either before or after installation of the transfer unit. The sleeve penetration's elastic and self-tensioning properties make it easy to press into the hole in the stud wall.
