NPL-F-FLM
Main features
• Flush-mounted design for discreet and stylish installation
• Available in both supply and extract air versions
• Dismantling the diffuser front requires no tools
Description
NPL is ceiling diffuser designed for intallation in suspended ceilings.
The unit is fitted with a circular perforated front plate and additionally features air distribution via a recessed slot design.
NPL is suitable for offices, schools, hospitals and similar buildings with a high heating/cooling requirements.
The diffuser is available in both supply air (NPL-T) and extract air (NPL-F) versions.
NPL is also available as an active motorized version (NPL-M) for demand-controlled system solutions (VAV/DCV).
The diffuser is normally installad with a plenum box, type TLM for supply air or FLM for extract air.
For facilities that require a cleanable plenum box, there are the alternatives TK (supply air) and FK (extract air).
All plenum boxes contain measuring tubes and commissioning damper.
Sound attenuation is significantly increased by using a plenum box, which benefits sound levels throughout the ventilation system as a whole in the property.
• Plenum box with measurement and commissioning damper:
– TLM (supply air, standard version)
– FLM (extract air, standard version)
– TK (supply air, cleanable version)
– FK (extract air, cleanable version)
• MN: Duct extension between box and diffuser.
• NPSA: Sector shields for alternative distribution patterns.
• Diffuser body and front plate : Powder-coated steel in white RAL 9003 standard color.
• Motorized version: Actuator housing, distance brackets and deflector plate made of ABS plastic, Terluran GP35.
• Plenum/Commissioning box: Hot-dip galvanized steel sheet, internally insulated with washable and sound-absorbing material made of 100% recycled, non-allergenic, hydrophobic PET plastic.
• For general product specifications, please see the separate document Product specification which can be downloaded from our website.
• The diffuser and box are delivered separately.
• The diffuser's front plate is removed before installation.
• The product's parts can be separated without the use of tools. This offers easier installation, commissioning and maintenance
• Supply air boxes can be mounted directly after a bend. When mounting the box after a T-section, a straight stretch of duct, corresponding 4 x the duct diameter, is required to maintain sufficient measurement accuracy.
• The rear part of the diffuser fits into most conventional ceiling modular systems. The diffuser can also be supplied with adaptation to a specific ceiling system (specification is made on order placement).
• The distance between the diffuser and the commissioning box can be extended with a circular duct. If the total distance exceeds 500 mm, extension of the measuring hoses and damper cords is also required.
• When installing in a suspended ceiling, the MN accessory can be used to extend the spigot by 40 mm.
• The diffuser is secured in the box socket with pop rivets or self-tapping screws. The front plate is then mounted.
• The diffuser's front plate is mounted with distance bracket to ensure horizontal alignment of the front plate.
• A safety cord is attached to the front plate. The cord is secured with a simple loop in one of the distance bracket. This is to prevent the plate from falling down, e.g. during disassembly in conjunction to maintenance.
• The correct air volume is measured using the easily accessible measuring hoses connected to the measuring rod in the box inlet.
• Commissioning of air flow is done by adjusting the damper blade using the cords in the box.
